Education, Career & Life Skills for Students

Changing the future through hands on experiences.

Power, Vision & Voice

HAF joins forces with Northeastern State University Upward Bound, 100 Black Men of Tulsa, and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office to deliver this six-part youth empowerment workshop series. Through storytelling, discussion, and role-play, students build confidence, character, and leadership skills. Each session challenges young people to explore their identity, understand media influence, navigate peer dynamics, and make values-based decisions that shape their future.

Achieving The Dream

HAF partners with Tulsa Tech and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office to connect students with real career opportunities. The Career Strategies for Success program gives participants hands-on exposure to in-demand fields including Criminal Justice, Welding, EMS, Aviation, Cosmetology/Barber, and Early Care and Education. This collaboration puts students face to face with professionals and pathways that can change their futures.

Technology Grants

Located in Tulsa, San Miguel School provides a quality education for students in Grades 6 to 8. San Miguel is an independent, gratuitous school with 95% of operating funds made through donations, grants, and other fundraising. Due to factors outside their control, students accepted to the program may be up to two grades behind in school. The school helps students work toward grade-level competencies for increased success in high school. HAF donates annually to provide a Chromebook for the incoming 6th grade students.
