Scholarships
The Hispanic American Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to empower and uplift aspiring Hispanic students, fostering educational opportunities and helping bridge the path to success.
First-year College Scholarships
Each year, the Foundation hosts a scholarship competition held between January and mid-March. Winners are chosen by a committee from all eligible student applications received. In April 2023, the Foundation awarded $42,000 to 14 Tulsa County area high school seniors attending college in the fall of 2023.
Retention Scholarships
HAF awards $9,000 in scholarships to previous winners as retention scholarships, and those attending any Oklahoma private or public institution, including those in the Tulsa area, including the University of Tulsa, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Oral Roberts University, and Tulsa Community College.
“This year has been a challenging year, and the scholarship has become a blessing that alleviates a little of the economic weight of college. I’ll graduate this year and want to dive into the advertising industry to learn as much as possible. The Hispanic American Foundation scholarship is giving me the opportunity to complete my degree and do this.”
