Project San Miguel’s English Language Learning Program

Located in Tulsa, San Miguel School provides a quality education for students in Grades 6 to 8. San Miguel is an independent, gratuitous school with 95% of operating funds made through donations, grants, and other fundraising. Due to factors outside their control, students accepted to the program may be up to two grades behind in school. The school helps students work toward grade-level competencies for increased success in high school. HAF donates annually to the school’s English Language Learner program.

Tulsa Ballet’s Leaps in Motion Program

The Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa proudly supports the Tulsa Ballet’s Leaps in Motion program which brings dance performance and performing arts appreciation into elementary schools across Tulsa. An introduction to classical ballet develops students’ physical self, ability to concentrate, and visual and aural memory. Students also learn to work spatially, musically, and technically in teams. Approximately one in three of the 465 students who participated in the 2019-2020 academic year were of Hispanic-Latino heritage.

HAF's Annual Noche De Gala Fundraising Event

Since 1990, the Hispanic American Foundation of Tulsa has hosted an annual Noche de Gala, the Foundation’s only fundraising event. The event's fundraising proceeds are critical to the Foundation to scholarship program. Each year, the event pays tribute to the Hispanic heritage and culture of a different country. The event features the country’s food, music, and dancing, along with collectible art as part of the silent and live auctions. In 2019, the Noche de Gala raised $41,922 (net) to underwrite the Foundation’s scholarship giving.
